Dear Michèle: I wanted to take this opportunity to express
my sincere thanks for all of the care, and incredible work you
did for my mother over the past 2 1/2 years. It is, unfortunately,
all too uncommon to find someone of your grace, class, and competence
in today's business world.
It was a little over 2 1/2 years ago when
you did what I thought was impossible --- you sold my mother's
condominium. She and I were certain that given the circumstances
of that property, we would be in for a long selling process,
and were resigned to losing thousands on the transaction. About
three weeks after turning things over to you, we had a buyer
--- and actually broke even on the sale! I can't tell you how
thrilled she was when she called me with the great news.
You struck gold again around that time,
because it was you who found her dream home in Arrowhead Lakes.
I guess I can say it was then too, that I struck gold,
because I realized at that moment that you had become something
very special to my mother. You had become not only a trusted
advisor to her, but also a friend. She thought so highly of you,
and was awed by all of the contacts you had to get things done.
She spoke often of the times you visited her to check-in on her
latest "project". What a treasure you were to her.
Sadly, I had to call you in August to do
yet a third transaction. Mother had died. It was time to sell
the house. You were the only person I even considered for the
job, and I know she wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Within
days you had the house setup for a virtual tour. Within ten days,
you had an open house. Within three weeks, you had a buyer. It
was a gut wrenching time for me, and as usual, there you were
in the middle of things taking care of every impossible detail.
After the contract was signed, I don't think a day passed where
you didn't call with a progress update. If you had difficulties,
I never heard about them --- you just took care of things. Kind
of like you always did.
So here we are Michèle, three transactions
in three years. You were there for my mother's "coming out",
and alas, for her "going home". You'll sell a lot of properties
in you career, but I can assure you, you'll never find two people
as grateful for you as my mother and I. I don't know how we found
you ... then again... maybe I do. May God continue to
bless you, and your family.
Warmest Regards,
Phil LaFave
